My original color pencil drawings are not planned or conceived ahead of time. Dreamlike organic abstractions are my reflections of the contemporary world I live in. The drawings are whimsical with a bit of surrealist overtones. Many times a drawing starts out with something that caught my attention: a reflection in a building, the color of a flower, a feeling about something. From there it grows into its own being. My digital color pencil studies are created from the original drawings that I scan into the computer. These studies give me a chance to make more artistic decisions on composition and color choices. My original watercolors are more abstract dealing mainly with mood.
