I was born in Warrensburg, Missouri and now live in Overland Park Kansas. I have enjoyed creating art ever since junior high school, creating cartoons, whimsical graphics, realistic or abstract paintings and drawings. I went on to study art in college, receiving my BFA in painting from the Kansas City Art Institute. After college I became interested in photography and worked for years as a photo retoucher and digital imager. I have been in many juried and group shows with my photographs and collages. The last four years I’ve been working with colored pencils and watercolors. I have been very excited about the creation of my colored pencil drawings and watercolors. Using the medium of colored pencils to make art is creative, fun and spontaneous. You can pick up a pencil anytime. My watercolors enable me to express myself immediately.
